I love observing people – especially when I catch those small, quirky moments that make us smile. It can be anything from a posture to a particular expression – always disarmingly honest and full of personality. It is precisely these little glimpses of humanity that I try to capture in my art.

In my studio in Aarhus I paint with acrylics, pastels, oil crayons – and anything else that comes to hand – to create works that burst with joy, presence and character. I deliberately leave room for the imperfections, because they are exactly what makes it all interesting and alive.

My hope is that my paintings can become little pockets of good humour in everyday life – art that makes you smile and gives your home an atmosphere you want to embrace again and again.
