Noah – a laid-back gentleman who appreciates both literature and a good afternoon nap. With his sunglasses askew on his nose and drool starting to form in the corner of his mouth, he has long since found peace from the stress and hustle of the day.

Noah is part of the art series Livsnyderne by Camilla Holm – a warm tribute to life's little joys and to people's quirky, beautiful character traits that ooze personality.

Livsnyderne

Livsnyderne is an art series consisting of six original paintings created with acrylic, pastel and oil pastel on canvas.

I love observing people – especially when I catch the little, quirky moments that make us smile. It can be anything from a posture to a special facial expression – always rawly honest and full of personality. It is precisely these little glimpses of humanity that I try to capture in my art.

In my studio in Aarhus, I play with colors, brushes – and anything else that can be used – to create works that burst with joy of life, presence and character. I deliberately give space to the biases, because they are precisely what makes it all interesting and alive.

My hope is that my paintings can become little cracks of good humor in everyday life – art that makes you smile and gives your home an atmosphere you want to embrace again and again.
